My Story
About Me
I'm Priyanshu, a developer. My story starts with a love for building things from scratch. Before I wrote code, I built things like a DIY flyer in class 6. By class 10, I started a YouTube channel to share how-to videos, CLI tool walk-throughs, and tech ideas. I eventually dropped it to focus on my studies.
Fast forward to college, I discovered custom ROMs. I flashed practically every ROM available for my Redmi Note 10S. I fixed bootloops, recovered corrupted data, and even bricked my mom's phone in the process (she still brings it up). Along the way, I helped out a few maintainers so it wasn't a total disaster.
Eventually, I got bored with Windows. I installed Ubuntu but rolled back within a week. A year later, I went all in on Omarchy, an Arch-based distro by DHH. I loved the concept but found it extremely opinionated. I eventually switched to CachyOS my current setup. I built my own config from scratch. Dealing with display server crashes, kernel module bugs, and learning what pacman -Syu can do to your evening taught me exactly how a system works under the hood.
During college, I did a summer internship in web development. That's when everything clicked: I love building products. I stopped relying on tutorials and started using documentation to understand problems. In my 2nd year, I was selected to compete in the Smart India Hackathon.
I started open source contributions because I love building in public and learning through documentation. I'm currently contributing to GSSoC and NSOC'26. I'm also working on Review Harvest (a platform for enterprises to manage reviews) and building an IoT multi-functional Arduino-based robot car for a college project.
